At the world leading London HQ of TripAdvisor, there are a number of teams who have a high call frequency and some have additional calls in different languages. With many of the desks in situ and with a relatively low plasterboard ceiling a solution needed to be found to overcome the acoustic issues. In addition to this we needed to re-locate some the teams about the building, which had the effect or intensifying some of those issues. The solution was a high acoustic value desk mounted screen which had the effect of blocking the individual caller and then to use ceiling rafts to capture the escaped sound and prevent it from reverberating off the ceiling. Additional acoustic screens were added between the different teams in order to reduce the sound transfer.
